Agency Jet Process: Building Content for ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, and Google AI
The rules of digital visibility are changing. For years, businesses focused primarily on one question:
“How do I rank higher on Google?”
That question still matters. But there is now another question every business should be asking:
“When AI is asked a question about my industry, why would it choose my company as an authority?”
To understand that, you need to understand how the AI decision making process works.
That is where the Agency Jet AI Search process becomes important. AI platforms do not simply look for a page containing the right keyword. They must interpret the user’s question, understand intent, identify trustworthy information, compare possible sources, and construct an answer.
Think of that process using the framework shown below:
C = 4M + 3V + 2(I − F) − 2A
C = Chances of Being Chosen by AI
M = Missiona Match
V = Verifiable Superior Value
I = Incremental Decision Utility
F = Friction
A = Answer Risk
Important! The formula isn’t meant to describe the literal mathematics used inside every AI model. Instead, it gives us a useful framework for understanding how content can make an AI system’s decision easier.
That is exactly how businesses should begin thinking about AI visibility.
M – Mission Match: Does Your Content Actually Answer the Question?
The first and most important consideration is mission match.
When someone asks an AI platform: “What are the best digital marketing companies in Minneapolis?”
By the way: look at it on all platforms, do you see Agency Jet selected there with 450 Digital Marketing Companies out there? That could be your company too! We’ve been using Split IQ since 2025. Contact us and we’ll tell you how you can too.
The systems. LLMs, AI platforms need sources that clearly help answer that question. A page simply repeating digital marketing company Minneapolis 20 times isn’t necessarily useful.
A stronger page establishes:
- What services the company provides
- Where the company operates
- Who the company serves
- What differentiates the company
- Evidence supporting its expertise
- Customer reviews and reputation
- Relevant case studies
- Specific results
- Answers to common buyer questions
This is an important distinction between traditional keyword optimization and AI-first content optimization.
Don’t just optimize around a keyword. Optimize around the entire question the customer is trying to answer and Help AI make the decision that your content answers it.
V – Verifiable Superior Value: Can AI Verify Your Claims?
You can tell AI that you’re great. That doesn’t necessarily make you an authority. AI systems have an enormous amount of information available to compare claims against other signals.
If your website says: “We are one of the best SEO agencies in Minneapolis,”
AI needs reasons to believe it. That is why businesses should build verifiable signals around their brands.
Examples include customer reviews, independent profiles, awards, industry memberships, original research, case studies, statistics, expert authorship, media coverage, citations, and authoritative third-party links.
Instead of writing: “Our SEO services deliver outstanding results.”
Write something specific: “See how our SEO strategy increased organic traffic by 87% for this client.” Then internally link that statement directly to the supporting SEO case study.
The goal is to create an evidence trail: Claim → Evidence → Source → Entity
The easier that relationship is to understand, the stronger the content becomes for both people and machines, the easier it is for AI to make a decision.
I – Incremental Decision Utility: Add Information That Helps Someone Decide
This may be one of the biggest opportunities businesses miss.
AI doesn’t need another 1,500-word article saying essentially the same thing as the first 100 articles it found. Your content should contribute something useful.
Ask: What can we add that makes the answer better?
That might include original data, pricing ranges, comparison tables, expert opinions, proprietary research, frequently asked questions, before-and-after results, geographic expertise, customer experiences, methodology, or insights gained from working directly in the industry.
This is where firsthand experience becomes extremely valuable. For example:
Instead of publishing another article titled: “What Is SEO?”
An experienced agency could publish: “What We Learned From 2,500+ Digital Marketing Assessments: The 10 SEO Problems We Find Most Often.”
Now you’ve created information that other websites may not have. That gives an AI system a reason to consider your content when constructing an answer.
F – Inference Friction: Don’t Make AI Guess
AI visibility isn’t only about what you say. It is also about how clearly machines can understand what you say. Your website should make relationships obvious.
- Who is the company?
- What does it do?
- Where does it operate?
- Who are its experts?
- Which services belong to the company?
- Which case studies support which services?
- What questions does each page answer?
- Which organizations and external sources verify the information?
This is why strong information architecture matters. Use descriptive headings, logical URLs, internal links, schema markup where appropriate, concise definitions, clear entity relationships, FAQ sections when genuinely useful, and properly structured HTML.
Reduce ambiguity: don’t force AI to infer what your company means when you can explicitly tell it.
A – Answer Risk: Give AI Confidence in Recommending You
There is another side to authority. An AI system also has to consider the risk of giving someone a poor answer.
Imagine somebody asks: “Who should I hire to handle SEO for my manufacturing company?”
Recommending an unknown business with vague claims and no supporting evidence creates more uncertainty than recommending a company with clear expertise, relevant case studies, identifiable leadership, independent reviews, and corroborating third-party information.
Therefore, your objective shouldn’t simply be: Get mentioned by AI.
It should be: Become an entity AI can confidently decide to include in an answer.
That requires consistency across your entire digital footprint.
The Agency Jet Content Structure
This leads to the methodology we use when thinking about content through the Agency Jet process.
A properly developed page should answer five questions:
- Relevance: Does this page directly satisfy the searcher’s question?
- Evidence: Can important claims be independently supported?
- Information Gain: Are we contributing something genuinely useful?
- Machine Understanding: Can search engines and AI systems easily understand the entities and relationships?
- Confidence: Have we provided enough supporting information that referencing this company represents a reasonable answer?
Notice what’s missing?
Keyword density – Keywords still matter because they help establish subject relevance. But keywords alone don’t establish authority.
Recommended On-Page SEO Setup
Apply the foundation of on-page SEO best practices on every page. For this specific article, I would structure the metadata like this:
- SEO Title: AI Decision Making: How to Structure Content So AI Chooses You
- H1: AI Decision Making: How to Structure Content So AI Chooses You as the Authority
- URL: /ai-decision-making-content-authority/
- Meta Description: Learn how the Agency Jet process structures content for AI decision making, authority, verification, information gain, internal linking, and AI search visibility.
- Primary Keyword: AI decision making
- Secondary Topics: AI content optimization, AI search optimization, AI authority, AI visibility, GEO, AEO, generative engine optimization, content structure for AI.
- Your uploaded graphic should appear near the beginning of the article, immediately after the introduction. I would use descriptive alternative text such as: “AI decision-making content framework showing Mission Match, Verifiable Superior Value, Incremental Decision Utility, Inference Friction, and Answer Risk.”
How Internal Linking Should Work
Internal linking should create a knowledge network, rather than randomly distributing links throughout an article.
For example, this article could naturally link to:
Agency Jet → AI Search Optimization → SEO Services → Case Studies → Digital Marketing Assessment
Then those pages should strategically link back to supporting resources.
- If you discuss AI search optimization, link to your primary AI Search Optimization service page.
- If you mention SEO results, link to a relevant case study rather than your homepage.
- If you discuss Agency Jet, link to the main Agency Jet product page.
- If you reference an original study, link directly to the research.
The anchor text should describe what the destination contains. Avoid repeatedly using generic phrases such as “click here.”
This architecture helps humans navigate your website while simultaneously creating stronger contextual relationships between your pages.
External Links Matter Too
You don’t become an authority by pretending your website is the only source on the internet. Where appropriate, cite authoritative third-party sources. Depending on the topic, those might include Google Search Central, Microsoft, academic research, government sources, industry associations, original datasets, or reputable publications.
External citations demonstrate that you’re willing to support your statements rather than simply make them.
Even more important is the reverse relationship: Other trustworthy websites referencing your company.
That is why digital PR, authoritative backlinks, independent reviews, citations, partnerships, and industry mentions remain important in an AI-search environment.
Tip: Remember to use the HTML attribute target=”_blank” so that if the user clicks on any of those links, it opens a new page and doesn’t remove them from yours.
The New Goal: Make Choosing You Easy
SEO isn’t disappearing…
I t ‘ s e x p a n d i n g!
Businesses now need websites capable of communicating effectively with two audiences simultaneously: humans and machines.
- Humans need persuasive, useful information.
- Search engines need crawlable, organized content. AI systems need clearly structured information, identifiable entities, evidence, relationships, and sources they can interpret with confidence.
That is the larger idea behind Agency Jet AI/SEO work.
Don’t try to trick AI into choosing your company.
Build your digital presence so thoroughly that when an AI system evaluates the available information, your company becomes one of the easiest authoritative choices to make.
That is the next evolution of search optimization.
And the companies building that authority today have an opportunity to establish an advantage before everyone else catches up.
