From 50 page one keywords to 200+ keywords



International Design Center is an importing retailer of Scandinavian home furnishings in the Twin Cities. International Design Center offers products from all around the world, with an emphasis on quality materials, functionality and beautiful design. They do much of their business in the state of Minnesota but ship their products to the lower 48 states.

The Challenge

International Design Center had not seen a growth in their traffic or keywords for years prior to working with Agency Jet. The challenge was to produce higher visibility to the site in an extremely competitive industry. Prior to working with Agency Jet, International Design Center had never seen more than 50 page one keywords and were averaging 947 visitors from organic traffic every month.



The Solution

The strategy took a two prong approach. Half of Agency Jet's efforts were to focus on local foot traffic walking into the store, as their showroom is extremely impressive. The other half was focusing on their key economic engines in both brand names and types of pieces. Therefore Agency Jet created a large presence on high authority local directory sites and conducted in-depth keyword research to target important and highly targetable keywords for their business.

The Results

In the months that International Design Center has been using SEO with Agency Jet, they are averaging 1,462 unique visits per month and their page one keywords have jumped from 50 at the start to over 200. They have seen 37.43% growth in new visitors to the website from organic traffic. They also have seen 21.04% growth from Minnesota organic traffic to their site.

With the improvements in traffic, leads and sales, International Design Center recently overhauled their website to an e-commerce site that can sell direct to consumers from the site.
